I thought my Cure CDs would gather dust seeing that they are not currently among my choice of music, and haven't been for a long time.
Then I'm wandering YouTube, and encounter videos of
LaLaVox, first her Kate Bush covers (incredible), then her Joni Mitchell covers (ditto), then out of curiosity, I watch her cover of 3 Imaginary Boys. Well, wouldn't you know it, then I'm watching Cure videos, mostly from Faith. Of course, that means I must go get my copy of Faith and put it in the player. In the dark, but of course. It helps to have 3 bourbons in me, too.
"Faith" was the Cure album that LK introduced me to. Twenty-effing-some years ago. It is extremely numbing, particularly "The Drowning Man". Must.. resist.. urge.. to.. next.. play.. Lou... Reed's... "Berlin".
Yeah, it's bed time.
